Welcome to the Freefall features request page. Got a feature that you think is a must have for the next release of Freefall? Put it here! Write as little or as much as you want. Although, the more you write the more others can understand what the feature would do or why it's needed. Like a feature already listed? Second it with your own comments. The more interested people are in a feature, the greater likelihood it'll show up in the next release! While not every feature is guaranteed to make it into an I/O Vortex software release, we're open to all suggestions from our past, current, and future users.
Freefall
Freefall is an web-based member and event management system geared specifically for Youth Ministry. There are lots of event management software out there, but nothing quite has all of the features that a YM needs to manage the three things integrate to his work: the core team, students, and events.
Feature Request List
- Easy member and event creation management
- Persistent profiles for students to sign up for events they're interested in.
- Creation of ID badges for members
- Easy attendance maintenance. Quickly know who was at what event when.
- Export to XML, Excel, Filemaker and other popular database formats.
- Import from other member/event management systems.
- Connect to the Logos Catholic Management software (if possible...)
- Allows different types of membership: volunteer, high schooler, junior higher
- Ability to send out email blasts: both to all members and to specific groups (ie. all high school males at Lamar, or all students attending a specific event).
- Pay for events online (possibly via Paypal).
- Automatically sends customizable confirmation emails upon registration and event sign up.
- Allows for scheduled email blasts (ie. 2 days before an event)
- Use of "coupon codes" for event discounts
- Keeps track of referrals (when teens get friends to sign up for events)
- Possibly integrated with the latest web APIs (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Plurk, Friendfeed, Flickr, YouTube, etc)
- Possibly integrated with some type of apologetic\catechetical data
- Easy picture management (or integration with popular web service) and easy email blasts to Parents.
- Ability to customize member/attendee reports.
- Ability to edit member data from a list view.
- QUICK, SIMPLE Event Check In (by members/attendees on site, ala airport check-in kiosks)
